NICEIC

The NICEIC is the UK industry's independent, regulatory body whose sole purpose is to protect consumers from unsafe and unsound electrical work. NICEIC maintains a Roll of Approved Contractors that is assessed every year to check that their work meets the national safety standard BS 7671 (the IEE Wiring Regulations) and other relevant technical standards. NICEIC employ Area Engineers, who make annual visits to Approved Contractors to assess their technical capability and inspect samples of their electrical work.
